VLIEGKUNST ALS EEN LUCHTAQUARIUM
Voor de grote jazz legenden moeten we zaterdagavond – als het duister zijn intrede heeft gedaan  – bij het Vliegerpodium zijn. Een samenwerking tussen vliegerkunstenaars en de muzikanten DJ Vindictiv en saxofonist ERWIN VANN leidt dan tot een heuse hemelvaart. Natuurlijk op de klanken van de onsterfelijke muziek van grootheden als Miles Davis, Billy Holiday, Sarah Vaughan en Chet Baker.

We are excited to announce that Unicef Zeeland has put together a NEW night of electronic jazzfunksoul. It is being brought to you by Ma Baker’s Plastic Fantastic and is taking place on Saturday, 19th May at the Spoetnik Vlissingen.

Unicef presents: Ma Baker's Live Jam + DJ Vindictiv

A rotating group of 4/5 musicians will be on stage at any given time for the jam session starting at 20:00. The session will be led by Middelburg’s very own DJ Vindictiv, who will then go on to perform a DJ set afterwards!

Room I:
The bar and lounge area. Here you may laze in plush leather armchairs until your feet tell you to get up offa that thing, walk 500 miles, or put on some boots and refresh.

Room II:

The house that funk built. Room II is where DJ Vindictiv will be spinning and scratching. It is the jam station. The pickle district. Le district de Pickle. Whichever you prefer, it is where the focal point of the evening will take place.

On Friday the 9th of march I will be attending at Steaker. They make the tapas I choose nice Vinyl. It costs only € 35 for an all-night unlimited tapas food and a bottle of wine per two persons.

CrossCurrents is the newest, hottest festival in Maastricht. Initiated by Jazz Maastricht, we’re taking Jazz out of the box and filling the Sphinxkwartier with a combination of music, science, art and film. For us jazz is all about experimentation, connection, adventure and exploration. With the help of eight partner organizations we’re crossing genres and disciplines, to put together a completely different kind of festival. Transform yourself with  a kaleidoscopic smorgasbord of grammy winning musical acts, surprising film+music extravaganzas, never-before seen science and art collaborations and the best young talent in the region. Its enough to get our heads spinning with excitement!

RegioRuis

DJ Vindictiv

De afgelopen 6 maanden heb ik als coördinator aan RegioRuis gewerkt! Wat tof om te zien hoe enthousiast de jonge muzikanten en DJ’s zijn in het uitdragen hun creativiteit!

RegioRuis is het podium voor beginnend talent in Zeeland. RegioRuis kent voorrondes en een finale. RegioRuis is een contest om talentontwikkeling te stimuleren en biedt jonge/beginnende bands een podium.

De winnaar van RegioRuis 2016/2017 wint optredens op het Bevrijdingsfestival Zeeland in Vlissingen en op het Anywave Festival in Zierikzee. Daarnaast wint de winnaar en geldbedrag om te investeren in de band.

RegioRuis is onderdeel van meerdere muziekprojecten in Zeeland en wordt gefinancierd door  Provincie Zeeland en Gemeente Schouwen-Duiveland. Het is een project voor en door jongeren. Jongeren van het Pontes Pieter Zeeman College zijn onderdeel van de werkgroep die de RegioRuis voorrondes en finale coördineert. De jongeren worden begeleid door  jongerenwerkers van SMWO Welzijn Schouwen-Duiveland.

STEVEN DE BRUYN & DJ VINDICTIV

Steven De bruyn invites …

Elke maand inviteert buurman Steven De bruyn in ENTR een muzikale zielsverwant, die hij graag wil leren kennen of die hij eerder al ontmoette (en opnieuw wil treffen) voor een muzikale uitwisseling.
Gepassioneerde muzikanten en songschrijvers uit alle hoeken van de wereld en aangespoelde toerende muzikanten op hun vrije dag.
Net zoals de open keuken in ENTR de wereld naar je smaakpappillen tovert, wordt er gereisd met de ogen toe en de oren open.

Steven De bruyn is een gepassioneerde Belgisch mondharmonicaspeler.  Midden jaren ‘90 begon hij op te treden, eerst als begeleider van blueszanger Roland, met wie hij heel zijn verdere carrière zou blijven samenwerken. In 1996 richtte De bruyn de bluesrockgroep El Fish op, die in 1998 een ZAMU Award won als “beste live-act”, en (met Roland) in 2001 een prijs in de categorie “beste roots”. Na het uiteenvallen van El Fish richtte hij in 2003 The Rhythm Junks op. In 2015 vormde hij het duo Stevo & Derek (van Derek & the Dirt).

DJ Vindictiv oftewel Chris Smith (1978) werd begin jaren ’90 verliefd op het scratchen en mixen dat zo’n belangrijk onderdeel is van hiphopmuziek. Op zijn 15e kocht hij zijn eerste draaitafel. Vier jaar later haalde hij de finales van de Nederlandse Kampioenschappen DMC (Disco Mix Club). Een belangrijke volgende stap voor DJ Vindictiv was de samenwerking met DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Big Band, waarmee Vindictiv optrad op onder meer Lowlands, Jazz Middelheim en Roskilde. Sindsdien maakte hij als scratch DJ en producer muziek in verschillende genres. Eerder heeft DJ Vindictiv het podium gedeeld met bijvoorbeeld Kid Koala, Wayne Shorter, Eric Vloeimans en Baba Sissoko.
